Footnotes |
|
|
DIPLOMATIC BAG angled in and pulled his
way along inside stalking the pace, continued a bit off the rail on the
backstretch and second turn, came out into the stretch and rallied gamely
under a strong hand ride to prove best. STATEMENT stalked the leader a bit
off the inside then outside the winner, bid outside the former on the second
turn, gained a short lead in upper stretch, inched away past midstretch but
could not hold off the winner. SEINNE (CHI) chased outside a rival then
between foes into and on the second turn, came out three deep into the
stretch and picked up the show. BALLINGARRY (IRE) unhurried outside a rival
then a bit off the inside, split horses in deep stretch and improved
position. SOUD took the early lead and angled in, set the pace inside, dueled
along the rail on the second turn and until past midstretch and weakened
late. GIGLI (BRZ) was in a good position chasing outside a rival then along
the inside on the backstretch and second turn, continued inside in the
stretch and lacked a rally. RESEARCHED (IRE) off a bit slowly, settled
outside a rival, went three deep into and on the second turn and into the
stretch and failed to menace. |
