SEATTLE BORDERS prompted the early pace
inside then stalked along the rail down the hill, came out into the stretch
and rallied to the front under urging three deep in late stretch to prove
best. STALKING TIGER pulled his way to the early lead then dueled between
horses, battled along the inside down the hill, fought back in the stretch,
could not match the winner late but held second. JUNGLE PRINCE cut the corner
at the right hand curve then dueled four wide, battled three deep down the
hill and into the stretch, fought back to a short lead outside the runner-up
in midstretch and continued willingly between the top pair late. SAINT AFLEET
stalked off the rail then three deep leaving the hill, was floated far wide
on the dirt crossing but finished well. MATT BLANC (IRE) broke slowly, saved
ground off the pace, came out into the stretch, split rivals in midstretch
and put in a late bid. RUSH INTO HEAVEN between horses early, dropped back
down the hill, angled in, came out in the stretch and improved position.
MOULIN DE MOUGINS (IRE) bumped at the start, chased off the rail then inside
down the hill and lacked the needed rally. TROIS VILLES bumped at the start,
went up to duel for the lead between horses, dropped back nearing the dirt
and weakened. GWAIHIR (IRE) between horses early, cut the corner at the right
hand curve then chased outside, fell back leaving the hill and also weakened.
DON'TSELLMESHORT stalked the pace off the rail, drifted far wide on the dirt
crossing, then hopped back onto the turf and had little left. Rail on hill at
zero. |
