steady pressure and drew away late. SPITE THE DEVIL contested the pace along
the inside, came out continuously in the stretch and dug in gamely to earn
the place award. ZAKOCITY was steadied on the backstretch, rallied inside,
was carried out in the stretch and finished gamely. LIFESTYLE raced with the
pace from the outside, rallied to earn the lead between calls in upper
stretch and tired in the final furlong. ARTURO chased the pace while between
rivals and had no response when roused. MY SNOOKIE'S BOY was hustled along
inside, chased the pace and tired in the stretch. SCOTT was outrun early,
raced wide throughout and tired. PATRIOT'S SONG contested the pace while
between rivals and tired. ANASHEED had no response when roused. BIG COUNTRY
raced inside and tired. Following a Stewards' inquiry, SPITE THE DEVIL was
disqualified from second and placed third for interfering with ZAKOCITY in
