FRIENDS LAKE reserved along the inside around the first turn, eased off the rail entering the backstretch, swung out four wide on the far turn, then rallied under pressure to catch VALUE PLUS just inside the seventy yard pole and prevailed. VALUE PLUS stalked the pace three wide, moved up to reach even terms for command on the far turn, vied for the lead outside READ THE FOOTNOTES into the stretch, edged away from that rival approaching the sixteenth pole but couldn't resist the winner late. THE CLIFF'S EDGE fractious in the gate, broke to the inside, was steadied slightly entering the first turn, saved ground while advancing into contention around the far turn, bumped with TAPIT in early stretch, eased out finished willingly for the show. READ THE FOOTNOTES angled in soon after the start to stalk the pace along the rail, slipped through to reach even terms for command on the far turn, vied for the lead inside VALUE PLUS to nearing the sixteenth pole and gave way. FARNUM ALLEY unhurried early, swung wide for the stretch run and gained ground late without threatening. TAPIT tracked the pace three wide, was caught in tight on the far turn, was still in contention when he bumped with THE CLIFF'S EDGE in early stretch and tired. SMOOCHER allowed to settle, raced four wide and had no response when set down for the drive. SIR OSCAR tracked the leader four wide into the far turn and faltered. FRISKY SPIDER hustled to get the lead, sprinted clear while racing off the rail down the backstretch, made the pace into the far turn and faded. NOTORIOUS ROGUE trailed.
