Footnotes |
|
|
OLE FAUNTY prompted the pace two wide,
moved closer three wide entering the lane, took a short lead leaving the
three sixteenths pole then edged clear near the sixteenth marker and held
sway under a drive. ROGUE AGENT cleared early, set the pace towards the
inside, drifted off the inside entering the stretch, came in when put to
right handed urging leaving the three sixteenths marker, bumped with and shut
off EVENING ATTIRE, altered course back the outside in the final sixteenth
and finished gamely. EVENING ATTIRE rated close up while saving ground,
awaited room around the final turn, lodged a bid when the rail opened up in
upper stretch, was shut off and bounced off the rail when ROGUE AGENT came in
on him leaving the three sixteenths pole, gathered himself soon after, angled
out and finished with good energy. LAST INTENTION ,
forwardly placed two wide between rivals into the far turn, angled out four
wide when advancing in upper stretch then flattened out in the final sixteenth
of a mile. YOUR BLUFFING was unhurried early racing slightly off the rail,
angled out five wide mid way on the final turn,
circled into the lane but lacked a solid response. LYRACIST lost ground four
wide, moved up to a stalking position down the backstretch, remained a
presence past the three eighths pole then weakened when called upon. QUIET
MIKE gained a stalking position around the first turn, raced three wide
between rivals into the far turn then weakened nearing the quarter pole.
BASIL'S RHYTHM never threatened. Following a stewards' inquiry and an
objection by the rider of EVENING ATTIRE against ROGUE AGENT, ROGUE AGENT was
disqualified from second and placed third for interference in the stretch. |

Footnotes |
|
|
BEAR FAN prompted the pace four wide
under some rating, drew on even terms mid turn, took a short lead entering
the stretch, opened a clear advantage when roused in upper stretch then held
sway under a drive. GAZILLION was taken to rate in a forward position, split
rivals leaving the sixteenth marker, angled to the inside and finished
gamely. BRONZE ABE dueled early three wide between rivals chased the leaders
around the turn, came four wide for the drive and continued willingly to the
finish. JESTER RAHAB , wide early, moved up between
rivals leaving three furlong pole, swung out in upper stretch, made a run
leaving the eighth pole then flattened out late. BALMY dueled two wide
between rivals the opening quarter, took command into the turn, battled on
even terms inside of the winner to the quarter pole then gave way in the
final eighth. WALLOP , fractious in the starting gate, broke a step slow, was
sent up inside to take a short early lead, dueled briefly, eased back
entering the turn, dropped further back on the turn, angled out and finished
with mild interest. CITY FIRE was an early presence five wide, dropped back
off the pace leaving the three furlong marker and failed to recover. PLEASANT
NOTE raced under rating along the inside into the turn, angled out some but
lacked a late response. SHINY SHEET , bumped at the
break, raced wide in the drive and failed to respond. |
