SARATOGA COUNTY raced close up between
rivals while in hand, advanced inside on the turn, came wide into the
stretch, dug in determinedly when roused and drew clear late under a drive.
POMEROY pressed the pace from the outside, earned a short lead turning for
home then dug in gamely on the rail in the stretch. EDDINGTON was bumped
after the start, dropped back early, split rivals on the turn, came wide into
the stretch and finished well outside. DEPUTY STORM was hustled to the front,
set a rapid pace along the inside and tired in the final furlong. REDSKIN
WARRIOR chased the pace while three wide and had no response when roused.
ROCKHEWN was outrun early, raced wide throughout and had no rally. QUICK
ACTION raced close up while three wide and tired after three quarters. WAR'S
PROSPECT was bumped after the start, stumbled, showed brief speed along the
inside and tired. |
