Race Summary

LION HEART broke alertly and posted the early fractions, showed the way to the lane and held a clear advantage in midstretch then responded well and maintained a safe margin to the wire. MY SNOOKIE'S BOY close up early while along the inside, lodged a bid on the final turn, eased out some and finished gamely. PIES PROSPECT never far back, saved ground and advanced some turning for home then lacked the needed late response. ROYAL ASSAULT close up early, raced between rivals into the far turn, moved briefly with PIES PROSPECT, was near the inside into the lane and lacked the needed late bid. SWINGFORTHEFENCES trailed early while not far back, advanced some four deep into the far turn then offered little in the drive. ROCK HARD TEN prompted the early issue, raced between rivals into the far turn, was asked then raced outside into the lane and tired then was not urged late. TAP DAY between rivals leaving the backstretch, was steadied nearing the three-eighths pole, dropped back and tired. WIMPLESTILTSKIN moved up from the outside on the backstretch, loomed a threat into the far turn, remained a factor until nearing the lane and gave way.
