The purse to be divided 60% to the winner, 20% to second, 10% to third, 5% tofourth, 3% to fifth and2% divided equally among remaining finishers. Weight for age. Race Summary

FUNNY CIDE raced with the pace from the outside while in hand, dropped back a bit on the second turn, came again when put to the task, dug in determinedly while between rivals in the stretch and wore down NEWFOUNDLAND after a hard drive. NEWFOUNDLAND raced close up outside while well in hand, advanced outside leaving the backstretch, showed in front on the second turn and dug in gamely while drifting out in the stretch. THE CLIFF'S EDGE was rated along inside, put in a four wide run on the second turn and weakened outside in the final furlong. EVENING ATTIRE was outrun early, raced between rivals and offered a mild rally along the inside. BOWMAN'S BAND was outrun early, raced three wide on both turns and had no response when roused. LOVE OF MONEY was sent up along the inside, contested the pace for the opening mile and tired in the stretch. DOMESTIC DISPUTE raced close up along the inside and tired after three quarters.
