Footnotes |
|
|
GRADEPOINT unhurried until nearing the
second turn, was asked for run midway around the turn, came inside
approaching the drive, angled out turning for home, switched out to rally
outside the leaders and proved best under strong handling. MR. JESTER in
tight from along the inside entering the first turn, steadied when ASSAULT
COMMANDER came in a bit, settled along the rail, advanced after entering the
second turn, moved out to rally before the drive, rallied outside but was out
kicked by the winner. NIGHTLIFEATBIGBLUE sprinted clear and to the rail
approaching the first turn, set the pace until upper stretch, got overtaken
by POLISH RIFLE a furlong out, fought back from the rail and was game for
third. POLISH RIFLE reserved off NIGHTLIFEATBIGBLUE until midway around the
second turn, was asked for run nearing the drive, raged up outside the leader
in upper stretch, took over and then faltered inside the final sixteenth.
ONEVERYCOOLCAT settled off the rail, was no real threat. ASSAULT COMMANDER
came in a bit entering the first run, raced forward for six furlongs and then
gave way. |
