Footnotes

DYNEVER chased inside, moved up along the rail leaving the backstretch, came out on the second turn, bid three deep nearing the stretch, gained the advantage in upper stretch and drew clear under a brisk hand ride. TOTAL IMPACT (CHI) stalked the pace off the rail, bid outside a rival into the second turn and between horses leaving that turn, could not match the winner in the lane but was clearly second best. EVEN THE SCORE pulled between horses early, went three deep into the first turn, chased outside, tried to go between foes leaving the backstretch but was in a bit tight into the second turn, continued just off the rail and bested the others. ENDER'S SHADOW sped to the early lead, set the pace inside, dueled along the rail into and on the second turn and into the stretch, then weakened in the final furlong. KELA unhurried off the inside early, came widest into the stretch and was not a threat. STAR CROSS (ARG) pulled his way along between horses early, stalked outside a rival or a bit off the rail, swung four wide into the stretch and weakened. CALKINS ROAD three deep into the first turn, chased between rivals then off the rail, angled in on the second turn, came out into the stretch and lacked a further response.
