ST AVERIL four wide into the first turn,
stalked off the rail then three deep leaving the backstretch and on the
second and into the stretch, bid three wide, gained the lead past midstretch and inched clear under some urging. LUCKY
PULPIT dueled three deep then outside a rival on the second turn, took the
lead into the stretch, fought back between horses in midstretch
but could not match the winner late. MASTER DAVID off a bit slowly, chased
between horses then outside a rival on the second turn, came three deep into
the stretch and split horses at the wire for the show. PREACHINATTHEBAR saved
ground chasing the pace, split rivals on the second turn, came four wide into
the stretch and closed willingly outside. |
