DAWN'S ANGEL had speed between horses
then stalked a bit off the rail, came out leaving the turn and four wide into
the stretch, rallied to the front under left handed urging past midstretch
and pulled clear under steady handling late. ALL AGLOW four wide early,
dueled three deep, took a short lead nearing midstretch, could not match the
winner but held second. ANANDA PARADISA a bit slow to begin, chased just off
the inside, came out leaving the turn and four wide into the stretch and
picked up the show. ELUSIVE DIVA had good early speed and dueled between
horses, put a head in front into the stretch, fought back to midstretch, then
weakened some but lost third late. GOLDEN SEDUCTRESS broke slowly, chased
outside, lugged out on the turn, had the rider lose the whip a quarter mile
out, came wide into the stretch and had little left. CHERRY BOMBSHELL off a
bit slowly, went up inside to duel for command, fought back along the rail on
the turn but weakened in the stretch. |

Footnotes |

|
MUSIQUE TOUJOURS stalked the pace along
the inside, swung three deep into the stretch, rallied under urging to gain
the lead past midstretch and proved best. DOCTOR TED bobbled at the start,
saved ground off the pace, came out on the second turn and five wide into the
stretch, drifted in some through the drive but picked up the place. ERIC DA
BOMB sent inside to duel for command, inched away nearing midstretch, could
not match the top pair late but held third. DEVIL BADGETT angled in and
chased a bit off the rail, found the fence into the stretch and lacked the
needed late kick. POLITICAL RHETORIC between horses early, prompted the pace outside
a rival then between foes again into the second turn, battled alongside a
rival on that bend but weakened in the stretch. MOON MISSION veered out at
the start, went four wide on the first turn, chased outside, moved three deep
then four wide into and on the second turn and into the stretch but could not
sustain the bid in the final furlong. ROBERT'S TRIBUTE forced the early pace
then stalked outside, bid three deep leaving the backstretch, dropped back on
the second turn and into the stretch and gave way. |

SAINT AFLEET dueled between horse on the
backstretch and into the turn, fought back a bit off the rail leaving the
turn, forged to a short lead in midstretch and gamely prevailed under urging
between foes late. CHEIRON chased between horses on the backstretch, moved up
outside on the turn and three then four wide into the stretch and also
continued gamely through a stiff drive. ICE WYNND FIRE broke in a bit, moved
up between horses on the backstretch, stalked outside a rival on the turn,
came out into the stretch, lacked room off heels in midstretch, cut to the
inside and finished willingly. DON'TSELLMESHORT wide early, dueled three deep
on the backstretch and into the turn, battled outside the winner on the bend
then between horses approaching and through the stretch and continued gamely
to the wire. BADGETT'S MANDATE had speed between horses then stalked outside,
split rivals into the turn, went three deep on the bend and four wide into
the stretch and rallied outside late. BARONAGE off a bit slowly, angled in
and chased a bit off the rail, went between horses on the turn, came three
deep into the stretch and lacked the needed rally. RACE FOR GLORY off a bit
slowly, settled inside, came out into the stretch and was not a threat.
PIONEERMAN stalked the pace inside, waited in a bit tight off heels leaving
the turn, came out into the stretch and weakened. SCORE HIGH allowed to
settle outside then off the rail, came wide into the stretch and failed to
menace. DAD'S LESSONS a bit slow to begin, went up inside to duel for the
lead, dropped back leaving the turn and weakened. |

|
SOUTHERN IMAGE pulled his way along to
stalk the pace outside, bid three deep in hand on the second turn, gained the
advantage in upper stretch and pulled clear under urging. EXCESS SUMMER
angled in on the early lead, set a pressured pace toward the inside, fought
back on the second turn and until midstretch, could not match the winner but
was clearly second best. THE JUDGE SEZ WHO unhurried and angled to the rail
early, went around a rival on the second turn, regained the rail and picked
up the show. PEACE RULES bobbled slightly at the start, stalked between
horses on the first turn then a bit off the rail and came up empty in the
stretch. PAY THE PREACHER angled in and forced the pace outside a rival,
battled between horses leaving the second turn and weakened in the drive.
CONTINENTAL RED chased toward the inside, split rivals three deep leaving the
backstretch, continued between foes on the second turn and lacked the needed
rally. WHITE BUCK allowed to settle outside, went up five wide leaving the backstretch
and four wide on the second turn and into the stretch and could not summon
the necessary late kick. GREY MEMO off a bit awkwardly, settled outside a
rival, came out on the second turn and five wide into the stretch and passed
tiring rivals. TOUCH THE WIRE four wide into the first turn, stalked three
deep, went up four wide between foes on the second turn and had little left
for the stretch. EXCESSIVEPLEASURE close up stalking the pace inside, dropped
back into and on the second turn and gave way. HOT MARKET a bit crowded at
the start, pulled hard early, chased between horses, dropped back on the
second turn and also gave way. STANDARD SETTER angled in and stalked the
leaders along the inside, fell back between foes on the second turn and had
nothing left for the drive. |
