Footnotes

MAMBO TRAIN was sent to vie for the early lead inside, steadied in close quarters several times going to the second turn, altered outside PERFECT MOON on the bend, rallied three wide in the stretch, took over leaving the eighth pole and was driven clear. PERFECT MOON moved up outside BRADFORD on the backstretch to contest the pace, battled between rivals through the stretch but did not have enough left. BRADFORD set a pressured pace between horses, gained the inside on the second bend, tried hard in the stretch but flattened out late. PLUM RED failed to menace staying off the rail. EPIC GOLD was quickly outrun and unresponsive when called upon.
