Footnotes

REQUEST FOR PAROLE rated close off the rail, eased slightly out making his bid entering the stretch, closed with the runner up through the lane and dug in determinedly to prevail. MR O'BRIEN (IRE) rated back toward the inside, rallied off the rail entering the stretch, closed with the winner, was between horses leaving the eighth pole, continued in a game duel but was outfinished. NOTHING TO LOSE rated close in the three path, urged to a short lead approaching the quarter pole, dueled briefly clear toward the eighth pole then grudgingly yielded the final sixteenth. MEGANTIC rated back toward the outside, started his drive six wide entering the stretch, closed steadily and finished well. HARD BUCK (BRZ) rated back inside, gave chase nearing the final turn and finished evenly off the rail. BALTO STAR set the pace from the inside, was pressured entering the final turn, contested the rail through the turn then weakened the final furlong. METEOR STORM (GB) rated just off the pace outside, picked up the chase in mid track on the final turn then weakened a furlong out. IN HAND, unhurried while saving ground, eased out making a mild bid on the final turn and finished evenly. CATECHOL, unhurried and off the rail, made a mild outside bid on the final turn then leveled off. FINAL PROPHECY rated off the pace widest, was steadied from between rivals entering the final turn then weakened from there. BOWMAN MILL was kept close to the pace toward mid track and gave way into the final turn.
