TAPIT was taken back after the start, advanced outside while in hand, closed four wide on the second turn, responded to left handed pressure once straightened away for the drive, dug in gamely and prevailed after a long drive. MASTER DAVID raced close up along the inside while in hand, saved ground, got through on the rail in upper stretch and dug in gamely to the wire, getting the nod over EDDINGTON for the place. EDDINGTON raced close up outside, rallied three wide on the second turn and stayed on gamely in the stretch. SWINGFORTHEFENCES was taken in hand early, raced outside, advanced four wide on the second turn, rallied to earn a short lead nearing the eighth pole and weakened in the final furlong. ROYAL ASSAULT stumbled at the start, was rated inside, advanced inside nearing the stretch, came wide for the drive and lacked a rally. VALUE PLUS contested the pace along the rail and was finished turning for home. LITTLE MATTH MAN was outrun early, came wide into the stretch and had no rally. CUBA chased the pace while three wide throughout and tired after three quarters. CONSECRATE dropped back early, raced wide and had no response when roused. SINISTER G contested the pace while between rivals and tired after the opening three quarters. HORNSHOPE raced outside and tired.
